Secret Invasion (2023) Secret Invasion is an upcoming Spy-Fi drama/thriller series developed by Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot) and produced by Marvel Studios as the ninth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and one of the first installments of its Phase Five. It is set to premiere on Disney+ in early 2023.Loosely based off the event comic of the same name, the series sees Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) returning to Earth from deep space at the behest of Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) to aid in a dire situation: a rogue faction of the shape-shifting Skrulls have infiltrated all aspects of life on the planet. Also returning are Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Martin Freeman as Everett Ross, and Don Cheadle as James Rhodes. Newcomers include Dermot Mulroney, Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Olivia Colman.
