Kidnapped Soul (2021).The feature debut of Soa Su, who has served as assistant director on productions like Wake Up and White Ant, Kidnapped Soul uncovers the terrifying truth behind a series of kidnapping and murder cases. The Taiwan supernatural thriller gathers an impressive cast that includes Rainie Yang (The Tag-Along: The Devil Fish), Jay Shih (Dear Tenant), Wu Ke Xi (The Bold, The Corrupt, and the Beautiful), Bruce Hung (Get the Hell Out), Cheng Jen Shuo (The Tag-Along: The Devil Fish), Ding Ning (Cities of Last Things) and Shih Chih Tian (We Best Love).Detective Zhi Kai (Jay Shih) is assigned to investigate a mysterious child serial murder case. Meanwhile, his sister Mei Zhen (Wu Ke Xi), an elementary school teacher, discovers that her daughter has been kidnapped. Zhi Kai and his partner Jia Qiang (Bruce Hung) quickly launch an emergency operation on their own. In the course of their investigation, they learn that the daughter of Mei Zhen's former neighbors Min Cheng (Cheng Jen Shuo) and Hui Lan (Rainie Yang) has been missing for a year. There seems to be a connection between these cases, but no leads can be found. With time running out to save his niece, the desperate Zhi Kai turns to a spiritual medium (Ding Ning) with the ability to communicate with spirits.
