Sinopsis Film Entrapped

In the north of Iceland, a land dispute has been going on for years between a father and a son. Oddur, the father, runs a sect known as The Family, and Gunnar, the son, is the leader of a Honks biker gang. The fight for land ownership has been going on for a long time, and now the cult members are not even allowed to say their practice in peace. They are daily threatened and abused into leaving the land, which also leads to many physical fights.A cult member dies in the middle of the whole fighting situation. Ivar, a young member, was killed in a cave where members went to say their prayers. They report it to the police, and thus the hunt for the murder begins with the prime suspect, the Honks’ motorcycle gang.Throughout the series you can see various fights between members of these two groups. There are drug dealers, cult members, innocent relatives of the victim (with Ivar’s sister suffering from Down syndrome), and a police officer who is still dealing with the mistakes of his past. The elements included in the series are great, but unfortunately, they couldn’t be properly combined to make it a good police series.The title of the series has been kept Trapped because Andri, the main character and a police officer, is trapped in his guilt. Seven years ago, in the case of Lina’s disappearance, he suspected her boyfriend Ivar of her and made him look guilty in everyone’s eyes. Therefore, the young man never lived a normal life again. In guilt for putting so much pressure on the boy, Andri was motivated to find his killer so that he can undo the mistakes made by him.There is no doubt that Entrapped had a lot of potential considering the various characters and the story that was initially built. The climax did not do justice to the whole murder situation that was created. There are a total of six episodes with an average length of 45 minutes each in this series. If the series had been much shorter, the story could have been shown in a better light.
